Dear Readers,

As a part of our Goethean legacy, anthroposophy has a subtle understanding of polarity and a capacity to work opposites. This Michaelmas, the Goetheanum World Conference will explore a pair of polar opposites challenging our movement today. On the one hand, we can be tempted to shut out the world, which can lead to isolation and rigid contraction. On the other hand, there can be a relationship to the world that too easily loses or gives up the spiritual heart of anthroposophy. How do we find a middle way? Perhaps it begins in thought and conversation, something the Goetheanum strives to make space for.
