100 Years Modern Lyre Impulse
International Festive Days at the Goetheanum
from 29. July 2026 to 02. August 2026
The search for a deeper experience of sounds, intervals, and tones led to the creation of the new lyre 100 years ago. It is still a “young” instrument in constant development today. In recent decades, its circle of friends has expanded culturally and geographically.
We are taking this anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate the international lyre movement in the very place where the newly created instrument was first heard – at the Goetheanum.
We invite you to join us in mutual interest, joy in diversity, intensive communal playing and listening, and, last but not least, the search for new impulses.
We are particularly pleased about the participation of young people in the children's and youth program.
You are very welcome as a lyre player, from beginner to master, or as a listener!
Greetings from the preparation group
