The Anthroposophical Society does not assess the characteristics of its members, but seeks to recognize and support anthroposophical activity.

There has always been a certain openness within Sweden’s Anthroposophical Society, similar to the general society we live in. We have always had members from other countries and with diverse backgrounds.

We also have members from different spheres of life and we don’t hold information about them. We do not want to pigeonhole our members, because we are not interested in their sexual orientation or nationality, or in any other characteristics they may have.

Only one simple principle counts for us: to see the anthroposophical movement as something positive and to be willing to support it! Anyone meeting these criteria is warmly welcome to attend our events or become a member. In addition, the Council in Sweden is trying to find a balance between the sexes.

What we can say, however, is that the average age of our members is rather high: the majority is over 55. If they wish for anything, it is that more people, of whatever age, will join the Anthroposophical Society.
