One more performance of the Mystery Dramas

All four Mystery Dramas by Rudolf Steiner will be performed at the Goetheanum from 26 to 31 December 2025. After these performances, which will be embedded in the conference Knowledge Differs at Each Stage of Life, the production will pass into new hands.

For fifteen years, we have chosen concise mottos for our conferences around Rudolf Steiner’s Mystery Dramas, thought vignettes that made it possible to approach the plays at a deeper level each time. Every year the audience was able to access, view and interpret them in new ways.

This year we chose a statement by Strader, a realization that affected him profoundly: ‘Knowledge differs at each stage of life’ (The Portal of Initiation, Scene 8). We would be grateful if you could try to explore the implications of this statement with us. Having experienced this production and engaged with their individual roles for fifteen years, the actors can share their deep insight into the characters with you. It will also be the last opportunity to see this production.

The future of the Mystery Dramas at the Goetheanum is open and promising but so far without concrete contours.

Experience this production, which has ripened over the years, for a last time with the fresh energy brought to it by the actors who joined the ensemble in recent years.
