Promoting healing
Eurythmy therapy is celebrating its 100th birthday this month. From the six lectures of the Eurythmy Therapy Course – given by Rudolf Steiner between 12 and 16 April 1921 in parallel to the second course for physicians – a therapeutic method has evolved that has become central to Anthroposophic Medicine and is now used widely around the world.
The Anthroposophical Society looks full of gratitude to this art of healing that works with the Logos forces, supporting, through the movement of speech sounds, life processes and formative forces within the human organization (for in the form of every organ movement has come to rest and in the form of every substance a process has come to rest). Both are supported by the therapeutic movements of eurythmy therapy. The effectiveness of this therapy has been established in many studies.
Supporting the Section work
A Eurythmy therapy conference will be integrated in the Medical Section’s annual conference in September 2021, so that we can accompany this art into its new century. We send our gratitude and best wishes to all eurythmy therapists around the world for their many endeavours in therapy, training and research!
The support given by the Anthroposophical Society to the Sections of the School of Spiritual Science was apparent again at the (virtual) AGM on 27 March. Both there and in their written statements the Executive Council, the Goetheanum Leadership and the Sections reported on their work and on ‘What is happening in the Anthroposophical Society’.
This includes the development of helpful perspectives that can arise out of anthroposophy with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic. All members of the Goetheanum Leadership are working on this question. Following on from the lecture series The Signature of Our Time and its publication in book form (initially in German), we will now offer discussion panels on topical themes under the heading Life and Society in Transformation and The World from Inside. For the Transformation series, representatives from the public and members of the Goetheanum Leadership will meet weekly in conversation. We send you our warmest greetings.
