The future of the Anthroposophical Society
The constitution of the (General) Anthroposophical Society
from 12. to 14. December 2025
What kind of Anthroposophical Society does the world need today? How can it grow strong and effective enough to master its task? And what legal forms are suited to this? Working intensively, the Constitution Committee has developed initial guiding thoughts for a constitutional renewal and now invites all members consult together on the intermediate results. Our aim is to newly take hold of the social and artistic impulse of the Christmas Conference and to continue to develop the body of our Society for the future.
Members will be able to participate in person at the Goetheanum and also online. We intend to offer interpretation into English. You can share your thoughts and ideas for the future constitution on our Members’ platform at login.goetheanum.ch/dashboard. All contributions received by 30 November 2025 will be considered in the conference preparation. What happens then?
The December conference is an important step on our joint path. Based on the results of the conference consultation, the Constitution Committee will work out a first draft that will be submitted to the 2026 AGM. After that we will take a year to discuss this draft around the world and allow it to mature. Hopefully, we will then be able to present a future plan that is supported by the members and all bodies of the Society at the 2027 AGM for approval.
We look forward to your contributions and to our journey together.
