Expectation, discovery, suspense and resolution - puppetry as a cultural contribution

Anyone thinking about the great challenges of our time would hardly think that a small art form such as puppetry could make any kind of contribution. However, Gandhi's call to "Be the change" suggests that social change begins on a small scale, with each individual. With modest means, everyone can bring lifeless figures to life for the imagination of young and old spectators, and stimulate an inner activity that is in danger of being lost in the permanent distraction and acceleration. - This lecture will show how the type of staging and play promotes the above-mentioned mental qualities and why small figures can have a big effect.
